There are many important criteria to consider when choosing a veterinarian.AAHA accreditation certainly helps as a good starting point.
It doesn't mean that practices that are not AAHA accredited cannot be an awesome choice. In fact, Jasmine's vet does not have the accreditation and he is the best vet we've ever worked with. I can ever say enough good things about him.
However, the way we found him was quite a crazy journey and without many coincidences that took place we would have never discovered him.
When I was choosing a veterinarian at our new location, AAHA accreditation was one of the things I took into consideration.
The coolest thing is that it is a Canadian animal hospital that took the first prize for general practice category.
